Children’s bedding with a bedtime story

Uneleja children’s bedding patterns are created by:

• Estonian artist Lumimari;
• Estonian designer Kristel Laurits, who lives and works in Denmark;
• Finnish designer Irina Ylänne.

For each set, children’s author Hilli Rand has written a bedtime story for that specific pattern, included with the set. For orders shipped outside Estonia, we include the story in English.

Materials and production:

• Most children’s sets are made from Italian ELITE cotton sateen, certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Product Class I. This is the standard’s strictest class, intended for baby articles.
• The exceptions are Full Moon and In the Green, made from Polish cotton sateen without certification.
• The sets are sewn in Estonia.

How to choose a gift for a child

• Age and size. Check the product page for the intended age. For bedding, ask the parents for the child’s duvet and pillow size.
• Materials and certification. For babies, choose certified materials such as OEKO-TEX Standard 100 where possible. Certification details are on each product page.
• Safety. For infants under one year, follow safe sleep guidance. Hang decorations on the wall or above the cot out of the child’s reach.
• Everyday use. Gifts used every day, such as bedding, blankets or a rug, are often the ones parents appreciate most.
