Black tea flowers are made up of tea (Bai Hao Yin Zhen, silver needle) from the high mountainous regions of Fujian Province, China. Only high quality tea leaf buds are used, which are refined into a particularly fragrant and tasty black tea through a gentle fermentation process.
The taste of this black tea is sweet and mild. The tea itself can withstand a long steeping time without becoming bitter.
Black tea is blended with various flower essences that add flavour and aroma. Finally, the black tea and the flowers are formed into a ball, which only opens into a ‘flower’ in boiling water.
You can see a video on how to make the tea HERE.
