Crystal glasses are a decoration for any festive table.
Crystal or leaded glasses have been in use around the world for a very long time. Because of their beautiful transparency and sparkle, they are used to make beautiful tableware, decorations and even chandeliers, for example.
The production of crystal glass dates back to ancient Rome and early glass was produced in several European countries from the Middle Ages onwards. The use and production of crystal glass became particularly popular in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, especially in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic), where many high quality crystal glasses were produced.
How to care for crystal glass?
Handle with care: Crystal glasses are usually fragile, so handle with care to avoid scratches or cracks.
Washing by hand or in the dishwasher: always wash crystal glasses with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using hot water as this may damage the crystal. Do not use harsh detergents or harsh detergent soaps to avoid scratches.
Drying: after washing, gently dry the crystal glasses with a clean, soft cloth to avoid water splashes or stains.
Storage: store crystal glasses in a safe and stable place to prevent them from falling or breaking. A soft lining can also be used in the storage area to prevent the glasses from rubbing against each other.
Cleaning: clean crystal glasses regularly to avoid dust and dirt accumulation.
Always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and the instructions on the label for the maintenance of crystal glass, as different types of glass may require different maintenance.
